Weiss Media Group is an award-winning advertising agency focused on building strong, long-term relationships with their clients across both digital and traditional media.

WMG has represented clients across the entire West Coast, plus Alaska and Nevada. Originally located in Portland, Oregon, site operations moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2018.

Darin J. Weiss
Principal

Darin Weiss has been helping businesses achieve great success through their advertising campaigns for over 25 years.  His career in advertising started at a TV station, selling airtime.  It was there that he discovered he had a talent for producing highly effective, creative TV commercials.  He has depth in print as well.  He was the sales director for Fighting Ducks Review.  While working as sales director, he helped get the contracts for the Game Programs for the University of Oregon, USC, and UCLA. Darin was the first in his broadcasting class in college to get his own Radio Show, “Rockin’ into the Night.”

Over the course of his media work, Darin built strong relationships with many of his customers.  Darin left media to ensure his clients’ needs would always come first. His loyal customers from print and TV became his first clients at The Weiss Agency (TWA). Years later, TWA morphed into Weiss Media Group, Inc. (WMG).

Darin has helped many types of businesses succeed on a level they only imagined.  His award-winning campaign for the Heart Hospital of the Desert in Rancho Mirage, CA resulted in saving the life of a man who was driving at the time. The man heard the commercial of a man experiencing a heart attack while driving and realized he was having a heart attack. He drove up to the Heart Hospital and they saved his life.

One client was able to sell his successful business, enabling him to retire in his 20’s. That client attributes his highly successful ad campaign to helping his dream become a reality. Currently, some of the largest clients at WMG started out as some of the smallest, going back 16-17 years.  Several clients have remained with Darin for over 20 years.  WMG has represented clients across the entire West Coast, plus Alaska and Nevada. The agency relocated from Portland, Oregon to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2018.

Liz Halley
Marketing Manager

Liz brings a varied skillset to the agency.  She spent over 25 years in the radio industry as a sales manager.  As a top performer in sales, she moved up the ladder with her talents in copywriting, winning several national awards and a number of local ones.  She is also proficient in scheduling, designing marketing campaigns, and strategic planning.  Her marketing efforts were noticed by the director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Eastern Oregon.  She joined the team to assist new business start-ups with their marketing plans so they could qualify for small business loans.  One client was awarded a $1.5M construction contract mainly due to the brochure that was created to highlight his new business.  She took a short hiatus from radio to work as a national trainer with Fred Pryor seminars– conducting workshops in sales, corporate management, time management, customer service, grammar and proofreading, business writing, effective communication skills, and cognitive behavioral therapy.  Liz understands the concerns of a business owner, as she also managed a national franchise business, elevating her location to the top 5% in revenue nationally. Her media experience includes sales management, news reporting, freelance magazine writing, voice work and TV performances.

William’s agency experience includes Rogers & Cowan PMK in Los Angeles and Edelman Public Relations in Seattle. William’s forward thinking and creative insight have boosted brand recognition with top-tier media placements, innovative marketing, and award-winning PR campaigns that include a Platinum Marcom Award, Gold Marcom Award, and PRSA-LA Prism Award. William has a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.   

Harry Thomas
Graphic Designer

Harry’s family roots hail from London, England. In 1994, the family relocated to the Bay Area in California.  One of Harry’s earliest passions was illustration and film editing.  He pursued that interest, earning a degree in film with a focus on graphic design at the University of Oregon. 

While at college, he began working part-time at a local winery in the tasting room. It was there that he met his now wife, whose grandfather owned the winery. The two fell in love, not only with each other, but in the wine industry itself. Harry began to assist with graphic ad design as well as assist with the production of the wine. His work in the wine industry started in the Willamette Valley in Oregon and led to travels to New Zealand to work in the Marlborough region and in Napa Valley.

Eventually, Harry and his wife would return to the family winery in Oregon where his wife became the General Manager. Harry’s unique background of sales and marketing made him the ideal candidate as Sales & Marketing Manager for a big home improvement franchise. While they also utilize his design expertise, Harry works with Weiss Media Group, providing outstanding logo work including our WMG logo! Harry also provides graphic design services for our clients including brochures, print ads and digital banners.
